All ferrules are manufactured and tested to comply with the requirements of AS 3600 and AS 3850. Our high-quality metric threaded inserts meet all requirements for permanent and temporary connections using Grade 4.6 Metric Bolts.

PSA offers a wide range of Ferrule Accessories including Chairs, Nailing Plates and Antenna Plates to ease the installation of our Metric Threaded Connections for a wide range of applications.
Please note: While the thread in our metric threaded connections allows the connection of Metric Starter Bars, this type of connection does not fulfill the ductility requirements of AS 3600 for rebar connections. The connection is not a "bar-break" connection as the cross section of the bar is weakened in the threaded sections and the ferrules normally do not provide the required anchoring depth to fulfill the ductility requirements of AS 3600 for rebar connections. Please check out our PSA Forge Bar Inserts and PSA Threadbar Inserts for code compliant anchorage of reinforcement bars. Engineering approval should be obtained, before using this Metric Starter Bars in conjunction with ferrules for structural connections.
