The X-Ferrule Chair is an easy-to-use ferrule chair, developed to locate ‘near-face’ ferrules in precast and tilt-up panels. The uniquely designed X-Ferrule Chair accommodates all standard PSA X-Foot and Round 96mm high ferrules. The design has an in-built cross support and integral centre spigot to accurately position the ferrule to shop drawing locations. 

Designed for ‘near face’ panels and used in conjunction with the X Ferrule Chair assembly, where the push-on fit with integral seal avoids slurry entering the thread form of the ferrule. The brightly colour-coded antennae caps are made from durable, yet soft ethylene polymer, which allows for easy screeding and cap identification. To avoid potential displacement when screeding, PSA has developed Screw-In Caps for M16 and M20 ferrules. These caps have a slot in the antennae face for easy removal.

The Locators push into the ferrule and release when the panel is lifted, leaving a 5mm recess. The built-in seal prevents slurry leakage into the ferrule. The 58mm diameter base may be mechanically fastened via the reference holes or glued by using double-sided, adhesive foam discs. Note: The Push-On Ferrule Locators are also available, pre-assembled with double-sided, adhesive foam discs.

PSA Threaded Locator Plates eliminates stocking extra components, as the innovative design incorporates mechanical nail/screw fastening or glue-on fastening. The Threaded Locator Plates have sufficient elasticity for mechanical fastening, yet provide for a rigid flat surface, to adhere the double sided tape disc. Note: The base is recessed to allow for mechanical fastening and removal from the ferrule.

Nailing Plates screw into the ferrule and are mechanically fastened to the formwork, leaving a 10mm recess in the panel. Where coil ferrules are used a special nailing plate is available. Note: The base is recessed to allow for mechanical fastening and removal from the ferrule.

M24 X-Ferrule Chair is an easy-to-use ferrule chair designed specifically for M24 (32mm OD) ferrules. The M24 X-Ferrule Chair has all the same design advantages as the standard X Ferrule chair.
