PSA stock a range of metric starter bars used for panel to slab connections in precast and tilt panel construction. PSA can arrange for custom starter bar lengths to suit your special applications, along with fittings to suit.

Note: Metric threading of Grade N Reinforcement Bars reduces the bar capacity below the strength of the unprocessed bar. For applications that require the full capacity of the reinforcement bar PSA offers PSA Forge Bar and PSA Threadbar as Reinforcement Continuity Systems that offer a connection capacity exceeding the bar capacity. Engineering approval should be obtained, before using Metric Starter Bars in structural connections.

Note: Standard Metric Starter Bars come with a cut end on the opposite of the thread. For faster installation, bars are available with a hex head on the end opposite to the thread – use item code ending “SE”. Contact the PSA Sales Team to ask for availability of bars with hex head. Other sizes/lengths of Metric Starter Bars are available upon request.
