Connections for Concrete

For applications where ferrules are positioned near the concrete surface—and where the finish of the far face is critical, such as when form liners are used—traditional chairs generally cannot be used to support the ferrules. For these situations, PSA provides the PSA Floating Ferrule in combination with the Floating Ferrule Wire.

This patented system incorporates a pin welded to the base of the ferrule, enabling the ferrule to be attached to a wire that rests on the top reinforcement layer of the concrete member. This approach removes the need for tag welding directly onto the ferrule body, thereby eliminating potential issues such as corrosion or alterations to the ferrule’s material properties.
