For larger elements with a greater shear capacity requirement, the S-Connection is a perfect fit. The S-Connection also provides an easy means of superior façade finish and numerous advantages in labour savings along with greater efficiencies for the erection crew.
The S-Connection two-piece system comprises a Male part ‘A’ and Female part ‘B’ housing. The unique surface features that provide the mechanical interlock to the product design is part of the PSA proven system for grout and panel connections. The Internal function of components inside the Male housing provides for pulling of the yellow cap in the male ‘A’ housing, which directly pulls a braid cord sliding the Bridge (half its length) into the part ‘B’ receiving female housing.
The internal N24 horizontal bars that make up part of the bridging mechanism, partially traverses from part A into Part B when actuated on site. After the backing rod seal is secured, the high flow, high strength PSA Grout is filled into the male ‘A’ inlet. Complete filling of the connections void may be witnessed via the overflow outlet in the female ‘B’ side. This then provides an internal connection between mating panels, directly within the middle of the panel section.
The PSA Grout provides an integrated connection of the internal components and with it achieving a 45MPa strength in just 24hrs, progressing of panel works is swift. Our PSA Connection Grout has been applied in the development of this product and must be used with the PSA Connection Systems in accordance with the PSA Technical data sheets.
S-Connection Male part ‘A’ housings are supplied pre-assembled with the required elbow to suit the panel thickness.
S-Connection Female part ‘B’ housings are supplied with loose elbow and black cap sub-assemblies for final adjustment/ orientation of elbows in accordance with shop drawing details.
